Anthony “Tony” Szwed
September 7, 1976 – January 4, 2024

The Friends of Delaware Township are honored to remember Anthony “Tony” Szwed by dedicating the White Oak Trail in his name and working toward additional memorials at Dilts Park (once construction is complete) and the Sergeantsville Village Green. A lifelong resident of Delaware Township, Tony built his business from the ground up, starting with a single lawn mower and growing it into a successful property management company that served Central New Jersey and Bucks County. Known for his generosity, warmth, and willingness to help, Tony was deeply community-minded, serving on township boards and earning Volunteer of the Year recognition in 2018. His friendships, kindness, and lasting contributions to the township will be forever cherished, and his memorials will stand as a tribute to a life devoted to service, hard work, and community spirit.
Anthony “Tony” Szwed, 47, passed away suddenly on January 4, 2024.
A lifelong resident of Delaware Township, he graduated from Hunterdon Central High School class of 1994. He operated Tony Szwed, Inc. which specialized in property management offering services in Central NJ and Bucks County, PA. As a community minded person, Tony served on various township boards and committees and was awarded the Volunteer of the Year, November 26, 2018.
Tony’s life revolved around his business that he started as a teenager with a single lawn mower. He was extremely generous to his family, friends and customers. He was always available to help or lend a hand. He was genuinely interested in people and getting to know them, and he built many long-lasting
friendships.
Aside from his business, Tony enjoyed art and would visit local artists and galleries.
Son of the late Joseph P. Szwed and MaryAnn Olenick, he is survived by his sister Deborah Tettemer and her husband Richard, his brother Joseph J. Szwed and his wife Debra, his nephew Zachary Tettemer and his wife Jacklyn and their daughter Zoey, his nephews Nathaniel Tettemer, Joseph Szwed III, Jesse Morley Szwed, his niece Sarah Anne Szwed, his aunt Patty Olenick, and many cousins.
